Welcome, Prayer Team Member

This is the new Daily Prayer Briefing email format. This early version is all about beta testing the primary 14-step automated process. All the READ MORE links should work well. Each click is tracked and documented. A bit later, we'll switch to further refining the design the appearance. Ideas and comment are welcome :)

This first section will house a short personal type greeting, message (like this one) or information for our members.

There are two promotional sections (hidden for now) allowing us to announce upcoming activities or build better value with our members.

Thank you.

Today, members of Congress will consider the rescissions bill that President Donald Trump has requested to reclaim $9 billion in taxpayer funding, including for foreign aid and public broadcasting.

The Senate was engaged in a vote-a-rama for amendments on Wednesday after Vice President JD Vance cast a tie-breaking vote to send it to the floor. The bill has made provisions through the Interior Department for radio stations that broadcast to tribal lands, which depend on them for emergency warnings.

The rescissions package, which was crafted by White House Office of Management and Budget Director Russ Vought, is the result of the DOGE recommendations for cuts to appropriations for federal agencies. Senate Majority Leader John Thune of South Dakota referred to the bill as a "down payment" to reduce the size of the federal government, saying that the package is "one-tenth of 1% of all federal spending."

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the president and members of his administration as they prepare to reduce funding to departments and agencies.
  • For wisdom for President Trump as he crafts policies and implements aspects of his agenda.
  • For the representatives in the House as they debate and consider the rescissions package.
