THE DAILY PRAYER BRIEFING

The House Committee on Rules, chaired by Congresswoman Virginia Foxx of North Carolina, is meeting to markup two measures.

Capitol at Dawn

The committee will consider the "Stop Illegal Entry Act," a merging of bills introduced by Representatives Brad Knott of North Carolina and Stephanie Bice of Oklahoma, which would impose stronger penalties on repeat border crossers.

The "Streamlining Procurement for Effective Execution and Delivery and National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2026," sponsored by Congressmen Mike Rogers of Alabama and Adam Smith of Washington, is the other bill the committee will be considering today.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us ...
  • For the chair and members of the House Rules Committee as they review the legislation for advancement.
  • For President Trump to receive God's leading as he engages in meetings and discussions today.
  • For Senators and Representatives as they consider and negotiate funding for the coming fiscal year.
