THE DAILY PRAYER BRIEFING

Today, President Donald Trump will attend the opening round of the Ryder Cup golf tournament at Bethpage Black on Long Island, New York.

The biennial three-day event switches back and forth between a United States venue and one in Europe as the 12-man golf teams engage in match play.

Though this is the first time a sitting U.S. president will attend this event, President Trump is originally from New York and an avid golfer. The president attended the final day of the 2017 President's Cup during his first term. As a former real estate developer, many of his properties include golf courses.
