The White House issued guidance to executive agencies last week on the preparation of reduction-in-force plans should a shutdown occur. President Donald Trump's new tariffs also take effect today. The president stated his purpose to restore manufacturing and jobs within the United States. These include 100 percent duties on imported branded drugs, 25 percent on heavy-duty truck imports, 50 percent on kitchen cabinets, 30 percent on upholstered furniture, and 100 percent on films made outside the U.S. |
