THE DAILY PRAYER BRIEFING

President Donald Trump is meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaishi in Tokyo today.
US and Japan flags

President Trump expressed optimism in cultivating the relationship with the new prime minister, as she is "philosophically close" to former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, who was assassinated in 2022 after leaving office.

President Trump said, "It's going to be very good. That really helps Japan. I think she's going to be great."

The president will also visit the Yokosuka Naval Base and speak with troops on the USS George Washington.
