President Donald Trump is meeting with New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani at the White House today.

President Trump announced that the future mayor had requested the meeting. Mamdani's spokesperson said that they will discuss "to discuss public safety, economic security, and the affordability agenda."

President Trump, who had voiced criticism of the socialist policies Mamdani campaigned on, said, "We want to see everything work out well for New York."
