THE DAILY PRAYER BRIEFING

Today, the Supreme Court is hearing oral arguments in two cases.

Supreme Court bench

In Cox Communications, Inc. v. Sony Music Entertainment, the justices will consider the decision from the Fourth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals that determined that service providers can be held liable for contributing to copyright infringement by not terminating access by people using accounts that did.

In Urias-Orellana v. Bondi, the justices will seek to determine whether appellate courts must defer to the Board of Immigration Appeals under the Immigration and Nationality Act regarding denials of asylum based on determining noncitizens are not being subject to persecution in their home countries.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us ...
  • For God to guide the justices of the Supreme Court as they hear and deliberate cases.
  • For Chief Justice Roberts as he presides over the court and the justices as they assess emergency appeals from lower court decisions.
  • For President Trump and officials in his administration as they seek to enforce federal immigration laws.
