Dear Prayer Team Member,

You are part of something greater than words can express, a nation-wide family of believers seeking God's strength and lifting our nation, our leaders, and one another through the power of prayer.

This month, we're grateful to begin welcoming members from our legacy Daily Prayer Briefing email. Whether you've been opening this updated format for weeks now or you're opening it for the very first time, we're thankful you're with us.

Your faithful prayers continue to be a sustaining strength for this ministry, lifting up our President, our leaders, and our nation day after day. For many of you, these briefings have long been a trusted companion in your time of intercession. May this refreshed format that brings Scripture, imagery, prayer points, and timely guidance together in one place continue to bless you.

Thank you for being part of this community of prayer, and for standing in the gap with us. Here is your Daily Prayer Briefing.

THE DAILY PRAYER BRIEFING

President Donald Trump will be meeting with Colombian President Gustavo Petro today at the White House. President Trump has followed through on his commitment to stopping the opioid epidemic, and Colombia has been a major producer of cocaine.

President Trump at the White House

The federal government is in a partial shutdown after the Senate separated Department of Homeland Security (DHS) funding from the package previously approved in the House of Representatives. The lower chamber is preparing to vote on the details of the remainder of fiscal year 2026 appropriations, with DHS to be temporarily extended while that agency's final funding is negotiated.

House Speaker Mike Johnson said he expects the adjusted package to be approved. He stated, "I don't understand why anybody would have a problem with this... Remember, these are the bills that have already been passed; we're going to do it again."

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us ...
  • For President Trump to be led by the Lord is his discussions with the Colombian president.
  • For Speaker Johnson and members of the House as they consider the changes to appropriations made in the Senate.
  • For President Trump and his advisors to seek God's direction as they implement strategies to address the opioid crisis.
