THE DAILY PRAYER BRIEFING

President Donald Trump will be giving the State of the Union address on Capitol Hill this evening.

While the State of the Union is generally delivered before a joint session of Congress in the House of Representatives' chamber, several members of the minority party have declared they would boycott the speech.

The State of the Union is an annual address mandated by Article II, Section 3 of the Constitution. The president reports to the Legislative Branch the current conditions of the nation and outlines the priorities of his administration and recommendations for legislation.
