THE DAILY PRAYER BRIEFING

Today, First Lady Melanie Trump will preside over the United Nations Security Council as the United States assumes the presidency of the council for the month. Mrs. Trump will deliver a speech regarding peace through education. It is the first time that any nation's first lady has presided over the UN council.

President Donald Trump and members of his administration are monitoring operations in the Middle East. The U.S. and Israel continue to target military facilities in Iran after Operation Epic Fury began on Saturday. President Trump spoke with leaders in Israel, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates on Sunday.

The Supreme Court is hearing oral arguments today in a case that challenges the federal statute prohibiting firearm possession by someone who unlawfully uses or is addicted to a controlled substance.
