NATO allies refused to assist with securing passage through the Strait of Hormuz after the Iranian regime closed it. NATO countries have also denied the use of joint military bases and would not allow U.S. military aircraft to even pass through their airspace for Operation Epic Fury in Iran. President Trump recently called the NATO nations weak and unreliable, "a paper tiger" that relies on the United States, but offers no support in return. He indicated his consideration of pulling out of the organization. |
