THE DAILY PRAYER BRIEFING

President Donald Trump is on his way to China for a summit with President Xi Jinping in Beijing. The trip was postponed from March to May due to Operation Epic Fury in Iran.

President Trump has invited business executives to take part in trade negotiations with Chinese officials. The two heads of state will also discuss the conflict in Iran, opening the Strait of Hormuz, and sanctions on Iranian oil.

Senate committees are continuing to hold hearings on the administration's 2027 fiscal year budget requests for federal agencies. The House Judiciary Committee's Subcommittee on the Constitution and Limited Government is holding Part II of a hearing to examine how Sharia law is incompatible with the U.S. Constitution. Other House committees are also considering appropriations for 2027.
