THE DAILY PRAYER BRIEFING

The White House is preparing to hold an Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) match on the South Lawn for President Donald Trump's birthday on Sunday. A lawsuit to halt the Freedom 250 event has been filed against the Department of the Interior and the National Park Service.

The administration anticipates 4,000 spectators, including more than 1,000 members of the armed forces, to attend on the South Lawn of the White House, while 120,000 are expected to view the MMA match from the Ellipse.

Today, the first matches of the 2026 FIFA World Cup begin. President Trump was part of the negotiations when the United States, Mexico, and Canada jointly won the bid in 2018 to host this year's men's soccer tournament.

During his second term, various federal agencies in President Trump's administration have made preparations for the major matches and the final, which will be played in the United States. Investments have been made to support public transit in host cities and heighten security around the match venues.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us ...
  • For President Trump and members of his administration as they support and promote professional sporting events and tourism.
  • For Justice Department, Interior, and National Park Service officials as they defend the planned Freedom 250 UFC event.
  • For U.S. national security and law enforcement officers and agents in their work to safeguard the high-profile FIFA matches.
